Much scientific research has been done on vegetarianism from the scientific point of veiw in the last two decades, and this has justified the use of vegetarian food in health and in disease.So from the Medical point of veiw also the vegetarian diet is rather good and more suited to human systen than a nonvegetarian diet.

Since the health of a person depends upon on his nutrition and nutritive values of the diet so non-veg foods may be high in protein and fat but low in fiber. they are poor sources of carbohydrates as vegetarian food are rich in all of these nutrients and have superior nutritive values.
